History - https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history
HIstory.com has a page called "This Day in History" that includes links to other interesting information that is related to the content of that day. A great bunny trail of historical information to get lost on. They also have a page organized by topics, if there is something your child is interested in learning, as well as a page of shows based on historical times.

Social Studies - https://storycorps.org/stories/
StoryCorp collects stories from people around the country, expanding our awareness of all the different experiences represented in our diverse country. I recommend this site for older students, grades 5-12.

Math - https://www.khanacademy.org/
A well-known site for all things math. Students work at their own pace and learn from effective videos and practice exercises.

Movies and Programs - Stream thousands of films for free, thanks to the generous support of your public library or university

Now, Kanopy offers children’s programming with Kanopy Kids. Parents can browse educational and engaging videos for children of all ages that promote positive social and emotional development and inspire creativity in young minds. We have partnered with Common Sense Media™ to provide developmentally appropriate age ratings for videos on Kanopy Kids.
