At Write Now! we guide the students through the writing process in a safe, relaxing environment where they can write freely and fearlessly. We provide classes that enrich your child's writing education and bring joy to their daily routine. 

Summer Weekly Classes


Tuesdays 4-5:15 pm - Creative Writer's Workshop - 6th-8th grades

Dates: 
8 Tuesdays, June 21 - August 16 (no class August 2)
Where:  June 21st and August 16th will be in-person at Colonel Summers Park (SE 18th and Taylor Street). The other classes will meet live on zoom.

4:00-5:15 pm

In this writer's workshop, students get to write what they want to write. We teach writing lessons along the way, practicing skills such as organization, adding sensory details, dialogue, punctuation, character/setting development, and more. The lessons are tailored to meet the needs of the group. Each week, students have an opportunity to share their writing (sharing is optional). 

Wednesdays 4-5:15 pm - Beginning your College Essay - High School Students

Where:  Live on zoom.  
Time: 4:00-5:15 pm

In this writer's workshop style class, students will begin to think about and write their college essay. Students will be given prompts to respond to in free-write style. This will help them to reflect and access ideas. We will look at examples of college essays together, and discuss different approaches, use of metaphor, organization, craft and honesty. Students will write a first draft of their essay.
